Light rain in Delhi-NCR brings traffic snarls

The city residents woke up to a foggy morning with the minimum temperature settling at 7.3 degrees Celsius, a notch below season’s average, it said.
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain and gusty winds prevailed over the city through the day, with relative humidity recorded at 100 per cent.

The amount of rainfall recorded between 8.30 am to 5.30 pm was 8.5 mm, as per Safdarjung observatory, it said.
Rail, road and aerial transportation was affected due to reduced visibility in the early hours at several places across the national capital, while parts of Haryana and Punjab also witnessed visibility of less than 50 meters.
According to the weatherman, there is possibility of very light rain or drizzle with moderate to dense fog in the morning hours on Thursday. The minimum and maximum temperature is expected to hover around 8 and 19 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Meanwhile, the city’s air quality remained in the “very poor” zone on Wednesday, with an AQI reading of 392, the Central Pollution Control Board said.
